Bali: Lax development control leads to over building & hotel price wars

Knight Frank reports that there will be an additional 10,000 rooms in Bali by 2014. Tourism stakeholders say the booming property business in Bali that has resulted in a host of new accommodation facilities is hurting the island’s hospitality business.  This has occurred because the administration has been too lenient in issuing licenses for new hotels and failed to implement the moratorium issued by the governor.
