You can calculate tourist arrivals to a destination by knowing the following parameters:
1. Number of hotel rooms
2. Average annual hotel occupancy of the destination
3. Average length of stay
4. Average number of persons per room
You can also look at it the other way around. For example, to achieve 1,000,000 annual visitor arrivals a destination with a 4.0 day average length-of-stay, 70% annual average occupancy, and a 2.0 persons per room will require 8,000 rooms.
